“Hair” embodies the unspoken interplay between individuals within the realm of fashion. It delves into the intricacies of being observed by a discerning audience. Within the context of Fashion Runway or Editorial, smiles are rarely approved of, a sentiment powerfully captured in this short film. However, feelings of rawness, fragility and vulnerability permeate the atmosphere. My fondness lies in the realms of serenity, neutrality and a certain emotional detachment that evokes a sense of namelessness even amidst visibility. This prompts contemplation on whether an audience can indeed possess omniscience in the absence of overt sentiment and reciprocal engagement. Fashion Imagery often masks one’s authentic essence, a phenomenon seamlessly translatable to everyday life, touching on themes of emotional repression, neglect, and ego. Hence, this piece, while rooted in fashion, holds substantial merit in conveying an individual’s intimate struggle with their emotional landscape.
